Question by Randy: Can Android 2.1 on the Samsung Galaxy give me access to Microsoft Exchange and can it open Adobe attachments?
I am so sick of Apple dominance and arrogance that I am willing to try the competition. Samsung Galaxy looks interesting with Android but can I open my Microsoft Exchange emails without too much hassle and does this unit come with a USB connection?

perhaps but it is not very practical. First of all, careful with samsung Galaxy. I know somebody who purchased this phone when it was running android 1.5 and samsung never upgraded the firmware to allow for the android 2.1 upgrade. I don’t know if that is still the case with galaxy devices running 2.1 but, if you are asking because you are thinking of purchasing the galaxy, make sure that the android operating system is upgradeable. Secondly, opening an adobe attachment is a resource-intesive processes for this little phone. It sounds like exchange server is also probblematic- see the link below for a discussion on this. Instead of trying to get everything configured on a smartphone, you might just be better off with a netbook.
Good luck!
