@panja LCD screens have to be very bright to start to have the contrast of AMOLED, hence the iphone’s overcompensating brightness. I was in a position to try both for a few weeks each and the SGS had a much better screen and camera. The iphone’s “retina” display’s namesake is apparently from burning hole in your retina, especially at night. The AMOLED display is so natural because it needs no backlight to constantly shine in your eyes, and displays better colors by number and accuracy.
@supersubsonyk you really have some issues. It is just a phone, You probally got your phone at a low price with a upgrade or a contract. I have both phone.. so what does this makie me rich or poor… I personally think that Samsung Vibrant is better.,, you are such a dumb ass for this comment
I don’t understand why people do test’s on the same WIFI to check the speed and compare both phones.. because one or the other is going to be using more bandwidth. Both are great phones though. My mates got the android and i’ve got the iPhone and we’re both happy with our phones. I have had no problems at all with my iPhone.
So the Samsung Galaxy S is basically a bulkier iPhone with a darker screen, inferior camera, and lacks compatibility with the many iPhone-friendly devices on the market? Thanks, but no thanks.
Oh , I’m sorry. I said GS ftw. I mean GS for the poor folk that live in high-rise blocks with alcoholic parents. That pray for the day they will be spat out the ghetto, Get a well paid job,Marry, have kids , Then finally …. F I n a l l y… Be able to afford a iPhone 4 and live the life the “Samscum” peasants can only wish for .
@3:40…Again Samsung reproduces better picture quality despite having a lower resolution screen. The pavement/footpath appears grey unlike the iphone which appears too bright, almost white.
The tree’s on the right, looking at the leaves the Samsung has the greens vibrant and rich, but doesnt overkill, on the iphone it seems a little blurred, hazed, colours are overly blended and hence not pin sharp.
@3:14-3:35…Samsung screen clearly has better colour reproduction. iphone cannot reproduce the white petals, its just a bright white light, seems rather distorted. Samsung reproduces accurately. A more rich, fuller, true snow white.
@ATLMember i like retina display because you cant see the pixels. This galaxy S looks pretty interesting but im wondering about its display because if i can distinguish the pixels on it i wouldnt buy it.

Good review. I still don’t know why people argue about phones. It always comes down to user preference. This battle will never be over…
I love to watch this review. simply amazing!
@radurociu They’re the same fucking price!!!!!! 16 gb iphone 4 is $200 , Same as the galaxy s on verizon.
comments like ” Just because you cant afford one” is lame.
It’s, Just because we pay the same for a better phone overall tells us you cant justify your buy.
iPhone 4 is good though I hate it, Samsung Galaxy S, I love it. Doing a lag fix on it will make it INSANELY fast overall.
For the price of one Apple, you can buy almost 2 Samsungs. And for what we should pay so much for an iphone? For the LED Flash? No thanks!

definitely iphone. 🙂
Isn’t the Galaxy S meant to have a brighter screen? WITH THE Super AMOLED and all
Yaboyloudog Lol , I laugh at your poverty.
@supersubsonyk That why my sgs runs circles around ur iFuckup 4.
The Galaxy S does everything the Iphone 4 does but the galaxy is no doubt faster and smoother.

thank for introduction
@ATLMember you’re totally right, thanks!
@trickjacko I doubt you’ll have any issues with either display, they both look great. I’d focus more on what you plan to do with the phone.
