I bought this item on Amazon, but through Infinite Surplus. This is meant to be a helpful warning to Amazon Shoppers. I bought this cartridge last year. It sat on a shelf in my office until I needed it. After removing the shipping label (which was stuck over the end of the box thus concealing the fact that the box had been previously opened), I realized that the box had been opened, but not the inside plastic buble wrap that held the toner cartridge. Infinite Surplus sold me an open box! After opening the bubble wrap, I noticed a broken tab on the cartridge that rendered the cartridge inoperable. I assume that the toner cartridge I bought had been opened and dropped at some point before I bought it. I will likely try to superglue the broken tab to see if I can make it work. I am way beyond the return period for this item. Before you start complaining about this being the wrong place for a review of this nature, I did look for a place to leave seller feedback and could not find one. If you have helpful suggestions about where I can leave a comment like this, please send it along. Otherwise, I would take my hard learned lesson and make sure you check packaging when you receive the item even if a portion of the package is concealed by shipping lebels, etc. I have emailed Infinite Surplus and Amazon. I will update this review once I get a response. This is the first problem I’ve ever had with an item bought on Amazon.

Unlike the Yellow Cartridges, the Black, Magenta, & Cyan are longlasting and of most high quality. When using the proper paper, the quality is just as good as any of the so-called ink jet photo printers. Caution: Photo Paper for ink jet printers is a disaster waiting to happen in a laser jet: the heat will gum up the works. Instead find a hard surface ultra white paper and photo print away and save big bucks on the cost of ink jet cartridges.
The Yellow cartridges are a low capacity horror: I have used three Yellows to one each of the other three colors. HP recognizes this as the Yellow is priced higher than the other cartridges. Sigh!!!

HP has great quality on their toners – no problems. Amazon.com is the BEST seller since you get FREE SHIPPING in a timely manner! They seem to consistently have the better price.
