@HotHardwareVids cool intro.
I just wish it has more accessibility for the visually impaired, it is the only reason I choose the ipad instead of the galaxy.
@ozone400
NOVA
@ozone400 its nova.
27nth!!!
Do not buy, the flash lags and it’s annoying as fuck
@magicalneo well if it comes to ease of use, ios is the easiest but so easy you cant do anything on it
@HotHardwareVids
well, android o.s. comes from open source software, is matter of time to get more apps than the ipad, in my opinion the samsung g.t. it is still expensive, i had a 7-inch tablet, the size is ok to me it fits everywhere, the ipad is heavier than a S.G.T. beacuse of the luxury materials… the most important think is the software development… by the moment apple is on the edge, matter of time…..
Im confused… people told me it could’nt make phoΒ΄ne calls, now someones say it cant – Can it, or Cant it…?
What game is played at 2:22? I couldent hear what you said?
Learn how to meet women naneedj.info
are ther alot of games in it
@magicalneo I don’t really have the money or want to buy tablets, I was just commenting on the video. I can live without anything, I don’t see how my comment came out anything more than it was (which is just that, a comment).
@FudgePoly Go to the store and try it… then try the ipad… the html5 with youtube vid’s didn’t lag… but ZOMGZ… something is wrong when you turn on flash for the galaxy tab. If you really cann’t live without flash, then you get the tab, if not, save yourself the frustration and get the iPad.
Or better yet, just get one of the new netbooks with the n550 processor (its TRUE dual core), maybe with nvdia ion for HD streaming, you’ll be much happier, or wait for iPad 2
@HotHardwareVids The flash support is garbage… and it was the tab’s only trump against the iPad and its TOO LAGGY!!!. The screen pixel density is great, but since its a smaller screen, you don’t get the full screen real-estate, in fact, its better on the eyes to put the screen further from your eyes than closer, even if the pixel density is better… so its a draw there between ipad and tab in terms of reading. All in all, if you think about the ease of use… iPad is the clear winner -_-;
Nice review
This tab looks like a piece of shit. The iPad is way better!
Sorry…for the same or less money I can get the Notion Ink Adam…a much superior tablet.
ipad got owned xD
@kiddarkness12 Who Cares??? lol
@siralexu – Check out our site for the full review. It has an Accelerometer, Geomagnetic, Luminance, and Gyro sensors.

@HotHardwareVids yes that i can see but i wanted to know what type of atitude sensor it had since gyro’s are more precise than accelerometers
@siralexu – yes, you can see it in the demo. It changes orientation from portrait to landscape on the fly.
@siralexu
It has both.
Nice! I was wondering..if you can access “Angel network” basically online college courses etc?
@ricwurui its an effect from recording through camera. CRT monitors have it much worse, you should try it sometime π
directly, it doesn’t flick π
Why would anyone want a noob color over galaxy tablet. Galaxy tablet has everything that noob color has plus camera and more STABLE OS. It is only $250 more expensive. No big deal right?
@ilovemaryam08 Yep, that was his goal: To SELL you something. The Galaxy Tab was screwed with, since not ONE Tab I have seen (mine included) takes 2 minutes to load up. Any constant android user will tell you he probably loaded up everything to run in the task manager to make his Nook look better. Why people lie like this on the net, I dunno…
Dude. Your Tab 7 has some major issues… NEVER seen one take that long to boot! As for the “cool ass animated widgets”, you realize you do not have to run those all at once and they won’t “slow down” the tablet. Sounds like you pretty much had a slant when you started this “review”. No way I’d use some buggy internet-sourced hacked OS written by a 13 y/o over a factory fresh version
@maiyang83
The nook is rooted so it runs full android. Which means it IS a tablet computer.
@andrewcp Ever Galaxy Tab I’ve encountered in the wild boots in +90 seconds, even more if it is carrier associated.
the nook is flickering…
I am sorry, I don’t think its fair to compare e-book tablet and ordinary tablet because both gadgets have major feature. Samsung Galaxy is not meant for reading and it contains more multimedia applications, while Nook Color is meant for readers. Correct me if I am wrong.
My galaxy tab is not that damn slow. iys way faster than my nook color for sure.Unfair review.
@GuruRobb why did you root the Nook Color with Froyo instead of Honeycomb?
@MYTHIRDSHADOW Android isn’t allowed on nook but its fully working (;
i think im goin to get the nook color and root it
I’m getting a nook color for Christmas now….. I hope …
Picked up a Nook Color a few months ago, rooted on Gingerbread. Snagged a refurb Sprint Galaxy Tab off woot for $250. I like that it has a Camera with flash, weighs slightly less and is just a bit smaller. But the nook has much more available to it in terms of roms and kernels. The deal breaker is going to be how it runs mario kart 64. Obvious frame skipping and a bit of input lag on the Nook Color @ 1300mhz, but it actually helps more than it hurts once you adjust to it.
“Candy cane. Anybody know a Candy Cane?”
“Rusty Nail?”
This is what 10.2?
Was your Nook Color overclocked?
Great comparison!
Your tab is pretty messed up. My stock firmware ATT tab booted in ~30 seconds and my rooted tab boots even faster.
This video was made before CyanogenMod 7 (a custom build of Android Gingerbread 2.3.4) was ported to the Nook. IMO, CM7 is far preferable to the stock OS, rooted or not, and runs very well from a uSD card–that’s right, you don’t even have to install it on your Nook Color, hence no warranty worries, and it’s actually simpler than rooting. Google “daylight nook odyssey” for my experience and the resources I used.
It took fuckin two minutes for the galaxy tab to boot up! If i wanted a tablet, i just get a nook color and root it. saves a lotta money
Can books still go on the homescreen? If they can, can book files other than B&N .epub books go on the homescreen as well?
Ya you just sold a nook color to me. Thank you
