Question by Just Sayin: When is US Cellular getting the Samsung Galaxy S?
I am a US Cellular customer and I have been looking for awhile and finally settled on the samsung galaxy s phone after I heard they were eventually going to be getting it.
My plan expires in October but I can upgrade any time until then and was just wondering if anyone knows if this phone will be available through us cellular by that time.
I have been looking a little bit but havnt found a release date yet and just hoping someone out there might know or have at least hear some rumors about it.
Any help is appreciated

Hi.I don’t think U.S. Cellular will be getting that phone. I only see Verizon, T-mobile and AT&T getting it.

They are slated to get it through testing for the last week of October or first week of November. I’ve checked that with a couple sources and gotten the same answer. It’s not a firm date though because of testing, but they are trying to have it ready/available for Thanksgiving/Holiday sales.
The desire comes out August 27th. Search on their press release from 8/11/10
The phone was also mentioned in their quarterly meeting on 8/5. So they are definitely getting it.
